Any list of the top fresh movies from any genre will probably add in the movies that became the blockbuster hits but no matter how meticulous the list there will always be some movies that should be integrated but are missing off the list. You just can’t name everybody’s favorite.

Mrs. Dalloway – Redgrave is glowing as the wife of a British M.P., who on the night of a soiree, thinks back to her adolescence when she selected between a safe, secure life and a more challenging presence with a gentleman who sincerely loved her. McElhone is a phenomenal match for Redgrave in the flashback scenes. Cast includes Vanessa Redgrave, Natascha McElhone, Rupert Graves, Michael Kitcben, Alan Cox, Lena Headey, Amelia Bulhnore, Sarah Badel, Oliver Ford Davies, Katie Carr, John Sitting, Robert Hardy, Margaret Tyzack, and Phyllis Calvert.

Red – Very last film in Kieslowski’s “3 Colors” trilogy which, like Blue and White, might stand alone with its self contained tale. Fashion model Jacob meets upset, retired magistrate Trintignant inadvertently, then creates a relationship with him and enters his confined, clandestine life. Set in Geneva, this is a story of few tangled lives. Cast includes Irene Jacob, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Frederique Feder, Jean-Pierre Lorit, Juliette Binoche, Julie Delpy, and Benoit Regent.

The Indian in the Cupboard – A young man (Scardino) receives an ancient chest as a birthday gift, and finds that when he sets a toy Indian inside and turns the key, the Indian comes to life. Then he sees that the Indian is not a toy, but a authentic person. Problems follow, particularly while his best playmate summons to life a toy cowboy. Cast includes Hal Scardino, Lindsay Crouse, Richard Jenkins, Rishi Bhat, and Nestor Serrano.

The All-American Boy – Jumbled drama in reference to Olympic aspirant Voight’s effort to be a successful boxer; stunning locations of northern California, but that’s all. Cast includes Jon Voight, Ned Glass, Anne Archer, and Carol Androsky.

Onionhead – A untidy motion picture with Griffith joining the Coast Guard in pre WW2 and becoming a ships chef. The motion picture tries to be a comedy, a romance, and a drama at the same time and succeeds at none. Cast includes Andy Griffith, Felicia Farr, Walter Matthau, Erin O’Brien, Joe Mantell, Ray Danton, James Gregory, Joey Bishop, Roscoe Karns, Claude Akins, Peter Brown, and Tige Andrews.

Fantomas against Scotland Yard – Ironic cliffhanger-type venture story, with Marais as magnificent felon involved in sports orientated adventures. Cast includes Jean Marais, Louis De Funes, Mylene Demongeot, and Henri Serre. (104 minutes,’66)

Afurika Monogatari – Guide Sayer crashes his aircraft in wilds of Africa and comes upon a game conserve. Even old Jimmy is monotonous. The film was filmed in Kenya. Cast includes James Stewart, Philip Sayer, Eleanora Vallone, and Heekura Simba.
